About us...

 A Byte of Data is owned and operated by Jeff Hoffman, a FileMaker Certified Developer with more than 30 years of business and scientific software design and development experience.- Jeff is a graduate of Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA.
- Prior to founding A Byte of Data, Jeff was co-founder and CEO of New Century Data, Inc.
- A serial entrepreneur, Jeff also co-founded StepUp Software, Inc. in 1998, launched Time Lever Resources in 1991, and started JAMAH Computing Services in 1986.
- Jeff has experience working with clients in many industries, including education, legal, graphic arts, travel, medical, oil & gas, and retail.
- Jeff has worked with clients from single-person sole proprietorships and small businesses, to Fortune 500 corporations, including American Airlines, JC Penney, Lockheed Martin, The Container Store, Michael's Stores, Sprint, and Washington Mutual.
- FileMaker, Inc. asked Jeff to author templates for their Education Starter Kit (Curricula) and the Creative Pro Starter Kit (Asset Tracker).
- Prior to starting starting his own business, Jeff worked worked in the IS/IT departments for such businesses as ARCO Oil & Gas Company, University Computing Company, Republic National Bank, Compass Computer Services, Computer Automation, Inc., and Carpenter Technology Corporation.
- Away from work, Jeff plays guitar in a classic rock band, and enjoys restoring his home in the Winnetka Heights Historic District in Dallas, Texas.
